Student Affiliate Program
Many activities are offered through the TMTA Student Affiliate program which begins in our local association. Our students have the ability to participate in theory testing, performance opportunities, essay contests, ensemble team performance, and composition competitions.
KHMTA Piano Tournament
The KHMTA Invitational Piano Tournament gives students of all ages and abilities an opportunity to perform for judges in a friendly, non-competitive environment. Judges write comments to encourage and improve their piano ability. Each student receives a critique sheet, rating, and medal. When a student has entered the Piano Tournament three times, a personalized gold cup will be awarded.
KHMTA Fall Musicale
The Fall Musicale offers the opportunity for students to polish and memorize one piece and perform it in a one-hour public recital setting. Recital performers will be students of KHMTA teachers and will have the chance to hear other area students of all ages and levels of expertise.
